As well as I care for my bike , I must admit I overlooked an item.  I was installing wider levers and found the clutch lever bushing to the master cylinder pushrod was worn out to where the rod was hitting the lever. I installed a new bushing and lubed all moving parts. Clutch lever is so smooth now.

I did the same a couple of years ago, changed out the pivot bushing, put on some new
levers I'd had for a long time and replaced the boot... my levers went from floppy to
terrific, like a new bike... a really good cheap upgrade...

From our own Generic parts (jkozloski) list publication:

 Clutch lever bushing

The Honda part Number 2285-MBO-006 is $10

The Suzuki part number 59892-08A00 is $3 and exactly the same part.

While you're at it you might want to replace the rubber boot that protects the pushrod and piston. I noticed it was slightly torn on my 6 year old F6B this summer. Then I checked the Valks and they were in much worse condition. They were about $10 at Rocky Mountain ATV. Not surprisingly the GL1800 and Valk use the same boot.
