Really looking forward to the increasing daylight hours. Especially the sun coming up earlier.

Yep, it's every December 21st or 22nd. Then daylight is on the increase a couple minutes per day. I too think thats a good thing. We're usually still whacking the golf ball in the dark at 5 PM. Thats depressing. At least it's a good excuse for the poor shots.

It's the beginning of more light, but it takes a couple months before it's much noticeable (and speeds up). By the pure luck of the draw, the sun always comes up right at the front of my house. Some mornings are simply beautiful with the pinks, oranges and pale blue shining through the bare trees, with the moon still up.

good, so sick of complete darkness at 5 p.m. when leaving work at 6 p.m. home by 7 p.m. daily. At least it is daylight out when I leave in the morning I guess one good thing?
Was nice when daylight out in morning and at night, sorta cheers/perks one's spirits seeing the sun vs. complete darkness.

This from my neighbor this morning....2 duck hunter grandsons home for the weekend but cant hunt cause its too cold.....
Twas the day before Christmas & all thru the house not a pipe was bursting, can this be some trick? The stockings are hung by the chimney just waiting on St Nick. The grandsons are sleeping all snug in their beds with visions of ducks dancing in their heads. Ma Z in her robe & Pa Z with his cane had just risen from bed with minimal pain. When out in the kitchen arose such a “ding” I limped down the hall so fast I thought I might sing!
It was the coffee pot, ready with it’s hot elixir. Soooo good! And this day He made is also good.

Too cold for duck shooting ! Well, I can understand that now. But there was a time we'd shoot at them when the wind was howling and temps well below zero. Thats when the shooting was the best, only, if we could hit what we were aiming at !

Duck hunting on the MI island I grew up on, if you shot one out over the water, the dogs would look at you like......... if you think I'm swimming out there, you're crazy.
