Working on a 2001 Valkyrie standard Trike.  Changing exhaust system as it currently has 3" straight pipes on it.  Looking to go back to stock OEM.  Does any know the differences  between the Standard with vertical tips and the Interstate exhaust? Is the Interstate exhaust longer than the Standard?

Thanks in advance
Chuck

Interstate piggies are longer... Interstate tips are three or four inches longer.
Everything else is the same...

Interstate "piggies" are horizontal rather than vertical, and a Standard/Tourer tip may not fit on them properly. The pipe tips themselves are also rotated 90 degrees.

That said, the assemblies are interchangeable - though I'd prefer the longer ones if keeping things stock on a bagged bike.

Thanks for the replies. That is what I suspected and you confirmed it. Sadly this trike exhaust needs to be 10” longer than the standard exhaust I have. Guess I’ll be looking for a custom solution. Delkevic looks like it might have potential.

If it is a stock exhaust that has been modified, you can put chrome truck stacks on it to extend it out.

Truck stacks, then marine slip in silencers.

My 45' slash, but you can buy different lengths.

Hardin silencers

they slip into the 4" dia truck stacks, and fasten.

I made my own slash cut tips as my piggies were cut and the stock tips were very annoying at 60 mph. I used 18 ga. 4" exhaust tubing x 12.5" lg. Yes I had excess to a TIG welder to help duplicate the mounting holes. I have yet to send them out to be chromed but the VHT "cast iron" color high heat has been holding up for 8 yrs. now.

Which trike kit do you have? I have a 1998 standard with a Roadsmith IRS kit on it with what I suspect are Cobra pipes with turnout extensions on them. Way too loud for me so I have a pair of stock  tourer/std pipes and a pair of 4" X 48" long truck stacks to install. That length should come to the back edge of the trike body finished off with a pair of Grumpy's Tips.
