I decided to finally let Steve's Honda CBR 1000 go. We had bought 9 motorcycles from Rick at Ashland Cycle Center and Steve and I always thought alot of Rick and I have stayed in touch with him since Steve passed away so when I called him to ask if he could help me sell Steve's bike he was more than honored. They came today and picked it up and they couldn't believe that a 2005 motorcycle looked brand new, it only has 6700 miles on it and is spotless. I stood and watch them strap it down and as I watched it go up my driveway and turn onto the street  I got teary eyed, it was hard but it's time to let it go.

This is a sweet bike, Steve never let it get dirty. It is very fast! He installed a radar detector and custom LED brake lights in the pass. peg mounts, they are very bright at night. He also had the wheels polished. He was very proud of the bike and I know he would want someone to be riding it.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

This picture was taken just up the road from my house...Norris Dam Overlook ( correct ? )

I agree Brian with Steve being a rider he would want the bike to be loved for what it was made for.

As always Rhonda I wish you only the best  Smiley

Yeah Joe, that pic was taken on the trip to the Honda Hoot in Knoxville 2005.

Rhonda I bet that was hard to do but, as you said, it was time.

Wishing you the best.

We think about you and Noah often.  Even though we know your decision was hard, it is a good one.

I too wish you and Cowbell the best. And I agree with you that Steve would not want the bike to just sit. He would want someone to enjoy it. Nice bike.

Undecided know how you feel - it's tuff - I let Jan's bike go this summer, I knew she would want it to be ridden, she loved her bike'n time.  Sad

Rhonda,

Know that was very hard for you. You are one of the strongest women I know and glad to call her friend.

Blessings!

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.

Rick from Ashland Cycle just called and said Steve's bike is sold. Gotta go tomorrow to meet the buyer and sign over the title. I got a really good price for it. I know it was time to let it go but it didn't make the phone call any easier.
