Think they could have used a better video title. He did more than attempt to paraglide on a couch. "Man Paraglides on Couch" would work.
I thinks it's awesome. Reminds me of a movie I saw years ago, Danny Deckchair, where a guy who's in a bit of a rut with his job, wife, etc fulfills his dream of flying in a lawnchair tied to helium-filled weather balloons. I remember it as a good little movie....either Australian or from New Zealand.
That actually happened. (I didn't know they made a movie about it)
The guy on the lawn chair got high enough, he started getting reported by airliners.
He took his pellet gun, a CB radio, sandwiches, beer, and a camera. After 45 minutes in the sky, Walters shot several balloons, taking care not to unbalance the load. He then accidentally dropped his pellet gun overboard.
