Every night (well almost) we (i) spend about 30 minutes watching some YouTube music videos.   Mostly country.  Tonight I was interested in an Aaron Lewis song I had not heard (or did not remember), "Grandaddy's Gun" and that got me to a new song sung by Trace Atkins.

I have always liked his song "Arlington" and used it on one of my trip videos.  One of my riding (and working) friends severed in Viet Nam and had never been to the Viet Nam Memorial.  On one of our trips, I made sure we stopped in D.C. to allow him (and the two others riding with us) to visit the memorial.

I took pictures and made a video of them (second link below).  It still moves me when I watch it.

But the real reason for the post was the song in the title which I had not heard before but for me was also very moving.

I share it for that reason at the link below.

Nice. At least the last generation and maybe more have no idea of the sacrifice made to defend our Constitution and the values our nation was established upon. It occurred to me that I need to take my grandsons to some places like Arlington just to give them a feel of our history before it gets so convoluted in wokeism that it disappears.
