Hi all,
I’m needing to replace the rear brake light switch (don’t ask….). I’ve got the new one and have installed the physical switch. Now trying to replace at the electrical connection end ( behind center cover, just in front of battery. I’ve tried getting my fat arms, with multiple configurations of flat bladed tools in  there to un-clip the connector,  it to no avail. Any tips on getting that apart? I’d rather not cut/splice the wires.
Thanks
Jim

I haven't worked on that particular connection, but I have taken
the center cover out to get back in there for something.

You can search "remove center cover" on the tech board and find
helpful stuff about how people avoided common pitfalls. Key objectives
are "don't scratch it up or break it" and "don't put the tip over switch
back on upside down"...

I think it requires a lot of calm patience to get the center cover out
and new ones are hard to find and expensive...

Extra long needle (/) nose pliers. I bought a three pack from harbor freight.  While you are there , long reach allen ball swivels.  Much needed tools.
