Just in case you all wondered, I watched Punxsutawney Phil do his thing this morning and he saw his shadow.

So, six more weeks of winter it is.

Hmm, well I figure I'll be mowing the grass again in three weeks.  Phil may be right for PA but I have my doubts about MS.  Wink

The best time to apply the preemergent herbicide is when the soil temperature reaches 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Well, I don't want to go there too early but, I figure in a couple weeks that'll happen.   Waiting on that payday thing.   Most folks here don't have to do that but, I do.  Wink

I still say they should announce a sequel to that movie, then just re-release the original one with "2" added to the name...

My observation and opinion is that there is not perfect place on this planet to live.   Everywhere has it's good and bad points.   Here in Southern Mississippi, I get very mild winters and a long riding season(s) but, it does get muggy in the summer, more so for folks not used to it.   But, I don't have to deal with those fridged temps or snow very often.   We also have the threat of hurricanes blowing in from the Gulf.  It happens although, I'm not so sure those hurricanes are blowing in or it's Tennessee sucking them up north.   Wink

Just pulling my TN friends chains, let's not get too excited............   2funny

So, we pick where we live, make the best of it while you can and eat Ground Hog at every opportunity.  They lie.

I believe him.

It's been dreary here in western NC for quite a while.

I can't see the bumpy bits across the field as they are shrouded in low cloud.

If it is ONLY 6 more weeks of winter, I am all for it.

He would see his shadow her in southern OR, for the most part clear.

Since making his first prediction in 1887, Punxsutawney Phil has been right 39% of the time, according to the Stormfax Weather Almanac.

Well, that's a better percentage than some of our politicians get it right...............
I don't think I've ever tasted Ground Hog but, I did find this somewhat interesting..........

I ran over a big fat ground hog on my Valk once.

Like hitting a speed bump at 40, came right out of the seat, and good thing I was holding onto the bars.

Looked back and he was gimping away, but without much trouble.
