Thats freaking cold !

I've been in camp in the Adirondacks at -53F. The old Round Oak Stove was glowing for days and water would freeze over in the corners. I'd go shoot supper during the day [ snowshoe rabbits and ducks, Grouse [sp]]. Fell thru the ice and walked over a mile back to camp in -20F.  No more, if it's 70F I'm now in a sweatshirt.

insane cold.  coldest I remember was around -55 wind chill or so ice fishing Devils Lake ND about 15 years ago.  That was brutal cold 8 hrs straight in a pop up ice fishing shack near all day.  Totally surprised our old borrowed snowmobile even started in those frigid temps.  Wind was brutal as well.

108 wind chill is impressive.

I spent a winter in Northern MN working in the woods.  We were out there when the highs were -20.  Cold but we dressed in layers. Would spend 6-7 hours working.   Then a couple time a week would go snowmobiling at night with owner of the duplex we're living in.  Yeah, it was well below -30 when we went out.    What can I say, young and stupid.

Our boss told us not to work outside it the winds got over 10 mph.  Didn't spend much time sitting in the office that winter.
