About time for a new set of tires, been running Metzlers for years but decided to look at things since several companies have new models out. Currently run the ME888 v rated Ultra, was on the ME880 prior to that, always liked the grip wet or dry, down side is mileage. Did not have good luck with Bridgestone on this bike, not a fan of the old Dunlops but I see new models out.
What are some of the favorites now days ???

My experience has been with Avon Chrome.  I have  purchased 4 Valks and have ridden several brands of tires, but have switched all my Valks to Avon Chromes and on one of the Valks running a car tire on rear.

Good luck on your tire search.

Bridgestone Exedra 701/702 here 2x. Never had an issue wet, cold, etc. They are about the only tire consistently available. I've used AV72 Cobras and I found really no difference in ride for my riding style but using beads in the front Cobra and its really smooth and looking at 6,000 more miles over Exedras @ 15,000 w/o beads. Running beads on the rear but not expecting better mileage due to the torque factor on these beast. 12,000 best so far.
