Spring fling will really be the kick off for this year for me even though it’s 22 degrees this morning and I have already mowed the grass three times already! The Fling will come and go too fast but in a matter of weeks it will be time to head out for In Zane. With all this motorcycle touring I have to find time for a family vacation, our 50th anniversary came and went last year without taking a trip or time for ourselves, grandkids rule!

I have projects to do for my mother that have taken a back seat for too long so that has moved up to as soon as I return from the Fling. I then have some maintenance and small projects to do at home that will make momma happy. I also have some projects to set in motion to raise some extra cash for my church which is a newly established group which is small in numbers but dedicated to spreading the Gospel. We’re meeting in a rented space provided by one of our members but as we grow we will have to look elsewhere.

Then I get a call from my son who wants to revive my 67 Chevelle that has been languishing in my BIL’s shed since we moved in 2019 and hasn’t been driven since my son wrecked it 1997. He wants to include his twin boys in the process and thinks that we could all do the Hot Rod Power Tour in a year or two. A great plan but a lot of work and money. I’m going to have to make a plan to get the car moved and assess the work and costs involved this Spring and Summer then let the work begin.

This is where the sat for 20 plus years after driving it off into a ditch

This engine has been waiting since 2018 to go into something. Looks like the Chevelle will get the nod.

Then there is still a disassembled Valkyrie waiting patiently in the garage for its turn.

And in your spare time????  Grin  John, it looks like demands of your time exceed time available. That Chevelle looks like a great project, especially if it includes that motor. Wish I lived closer, sure would love to "supervise" that job.  Wink

I once heard, you have to have goals! Many of my goals don’t have definite deadlines. I sure wouldn’t turn down any help, supervisory or otherwise. I tend to get into trouble with too much idle time on my hands.

John, I'm curious.   This supervisory position, is it like the majority of political positions in our federal government appointees or does one have to know something about the task?

Just asking for a friend..

This being a mid level supervisory position, Judy already has the top spot, it would be more like a janitor wearing a tie. What I need is someone like my father-in-law who would come over and immediately see what you are doing wrong and take your tools away and start in on it hisself. That meant it was time for a Coke and set back and watch him get mad and ultimately hand your tools back.
