So the executive director of San Jose Police officer's association was just charged with importing fentanyl to California from 2015 to 2023. She worked for the SJPOA since 2003 and was about to retire.

I guess this helps to explain why the police won't arrest drug users/dealers in SF: you don't arrest your customers after all!

If proven truth, it is beyond absurd. This guys have cushy jobs with high salaries ($200K to 400K year) paid with *my* tax money.

Yet another case of how bad police is in California.

Like the Santa Clara Sheriff that was selling CCW licenses to VIPs. Or the Oakland cops who were pimping teenagers. Or the Antioch cops who are being investigated by the FBI for "crimes of moral turpitude" (WTF is that?). Or the cops in Rohnert Park who stole money and weed from legal weed farmers. Or the San Mateo cops who did a raid in Indiana because the Mayor's friend didn't receive his batmobile replica in time (google for it, it is insane).

And it goes on and on.

Do you want to be *really* pissed? The Alameda DA is considering to *not* suggest jail time for the criminals who killed a baby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poJquHsyeh8

I'm sorry about posting all this, I just needed to vent.

This is why we should still have tar and feathering along with locking people in stocks innthe town square.

I was born in California. I loved it when I was a kid growing up. We could even speak English. The more time goes on the more I think California is a place it’s best to be FROM.

@3fan4life: I moved in early 2021 to a smaller town in the SF Bay Area. Most of people here own their homes, take care of their own lawn and are friendly. Kids can play in front of their homes and you see lots of people driving pickup trucks (unlike the Silicon Valley where is all about Teslas and exotic European cars).

It was an improvement in my peace of mind and quality of life.

@Chris: I still love California, but every day I ask myself what the future holds (i.e. mismanagement, corruption, lack of investment and law) if things don't change.

I was born in California too. I left 16 years ago, and it's only gotten worse since then. Now I'm planning on leaving Washington since it's getting just as bad here (democrats control the government here too).

Don't think about Oregon either, nor Hawaii (all west coast except AK is not 2A friendly).
