Nothing relly earth shattering in winter I keep my house on the cool side. But I DO like my coffee HOT. First cup seems to cool the fastest cuz the cup is NOT warm. Had noticed while the pot is brewing a steam vent! The top of my brewer is relatively flat. Put the open side of the cup over the steam vent and now that first cup in the A M stays hotter longer!  cooldude Anywho thought I'd sharte that!  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

Christmas two years ago my wife bought me a battery powered coffee cup from Costo. Thru bluetooth I can set the temp to a pleasing 140 Degrees and it lasts for a couple of hours...... crazy2

Add hot water to the cup while coffee is brewing like you would do a SS thermos?  Huh? I hand pack my Keurig and I have a tall plastic tumbler cup I used a many year and rinse only after use. Had 4 of them but my wife wiped out the stock via dishwasher. Company gets coffee cups.  Wink

Yup, I do this quite often, mostly when steeping tea though.

Well I sort of cheat and just use the microwave to heat a cup full of water for about 45 seconds while the coffee is brewing.

If I use a drip type coffee maker it's not an issue.  But using the Keurig device the microwave is used.

I suck my coffee down so quickly, it hasn't time to get cool.  Repeatedly.

A full pot lasts me two days, so day 2 it's 120 seconds in the micro (cup and all).  Smiley
