My Obsession

Coolidge, Arizona

« on: January 30, 2010, 06:29:59 PM »

Wow --- what a week this has been!  Started off with daughter-in-law going into the hospital and giving birth to our newest grandbaby --- and he's a boy!  Woohoo another child to turn into a biker!

Kendall had been itching all week knowing we would have sunshine and warm weather today (68 was our high)  So we took off about 11:30 a.m. and headed up to the valley to pick up a few things and grab some lunch.

First stop the smoke shop.  Damn cigarettes are expensive enough --- if he's going to smoke at least we can save a buck or two buy going to the rez to pick them up.  Kendall got off the bike and a little Harley rider sitting on the patio said "hey what's that on the back of your bike --- is that -- that a car tire?"  Kendall laughed and said "Yup".  Little Harley dude said -- "uh why would you want a car tire on your bike?"  Kendall laughed again and said "twice the miles and half the price"    LOL

Needless to say we get odd comments everywhere we ride --- as you all know the Valk definately creates conversations!

So we decide to grab a burger for lunch --- and not wanting the normal fast food crap that is on every corner --- we headed over the the Grill.  Heart Attack Grill that is.

Nurse Kiki was very kind and took great care of us.  Kendall especially

We're wimps and only had the single bypass (single bypass is 1/2lb hamburger) ---- but IMO the fries are much better then the burgers.  None the less it is decent food at a reasonable price.

Crazy place --- if you weight over 350 lbs you eat free all day everyday.  If you can eat a quadruple bypass (4 patties 1/2 lb each = 2lb burger) --- they take you out to your car in a wheel chair! uglystupid2

After we just grabbed a handful of things at Wal-mart strapped it on the bike and rode home ---

Wasn't too far today only about 80 miles --- but nonetheless --- a ride is a ride!   cooldude

Yeah, Des.  Good to hear from you folks down AZ way.  Miss seeing you guys.  Maybe Tucumcari next time around again.

I would like to try that Heart Attack Grill someday.  Love a good burger, love good fries.♠
