Each night I listen to music on YouTube for a few minutes.  Just they way I am.   So, tonight, this song came up.

I have heard this song before and, once more when I heard it tonight, it struck a cord.

I was a sailor and while I might have been in harms way a few times, I am sure it was nothing like those of us who served in true war zones.

Just a thank you for your service.

Thank you.

Yes Sir!!! Arlington - When our group went on a ride to Maine, we came back via Washington D.C.  The reason, one of our group served in Viet Nam and had never been to Arlington and the Viet Nam Memorial.

I used his song as cover for the video I developed.  The link is below.

I love the sentiment, but you know the wind/slipstream blowing those around can wear on your ignition lock tumblers over time.

What many forget is that every service member is support to those with "Boots on the Ground".    Until those "Boots" control the objective, the battle is not won.   All the rest of us have the job of doing everything in our power to help them accomplish their mission.   That is not to suggest that others do not face danger but, the real battle must be to control the territory/ground the enemy wants.

It is now as it has always been, those with their boots in the sand, mud or rocks need the support of the rest of the military and the nation to accomplish their mission.
