That's how long my Interstate sat before she started right up today.

Little gas leaking under the left carbs bank, but I'm hopeful the hoses just need some gas to make them swell a little.  We'll see.

Didn't do anything except pull the battery.

I believe running 38's in the carb's and adding 1 oz of 2 stroke oil every tank fill kept everything working as it should.  That's what I'm going with anyways.

Since I got the Goldwing, she's kinda redundant, but still a beautiful, vibrant lady.

Ordered a new battery and gonna take her on a date soon.

Very cool Bill  cooldude I’ve been trying to talk myself into it for awhile now. Maybe after I get our summer place in AK setup where I can leave my Standard up there. Right now my garage is so full of “stuff” I just couldn’t fit a bicycle.

What do you think about the front suspension ?

Well, I'd hoped the winter mechanic elves would have had the Silver Bullet up and running again, but I am still not getting her to fire up for me.  Going to try a stronger battery and cross my fingers, but it sure seems like (no) fuel delivery issues, again.  Driving me nucking futs because I've sent down the checklist a couple times.

On a brighter note, Ruby fired up after a little coaxing and seems to be hitting on all cylinders.  She'll get taken out for her inaugural ride of the season manyana.  Woo-hoo!

Rob, it's quite a jump in technology comparing the 18+ goldwing to the Valk.  The suspension is so completely different there is no comparison.  The Wing is superior in every way and the front is superior to just about any other Honda and probably most other brands.

To answer your question, I like it very much.

She does like chewing tires.  I've darksided the rear with a run flat and only got 5k out of the front I put on in August 2022.

Just got back from a trip to NC with 4 buddy's.  Out of 10 tires, we replaced 5 while down south.

3 wings, 1 HD, 1 BMW.

I only recently learned that the 18 up Wings use “tie rods” from the handlebars to the front fork/ suspension. Not a criticism, but I wonder how that will hold up over time.

Yeah, time will tell.  The first 2018's had a recall, but I believe it was a steering stem issue.  I guess any tie rod is a suspect of wear, but it doesn't appear to be a common issue, yet.

Even if it is, the ride it gives, it will be worth it.

While riding, looking down, you can see the system working hard, but nothing is transmitted to the bars.

Love my Valks, will always have a couple around to go out and give my left hand and foot a work out. Smiley
