I removed the BrakeAway throttle lock from my Shadow and installed it on my new to me 2000 Valkyrie Interstate, even though the BA website says it won't work. I had to rotate the brake lever/resevoir upwards a bit to get the BA device to fit.

Are there any issues with moving the lever up?

Test ride was successful and the brake lever seems to be within normal reach. I do need to adjust the mirror to push it outwards.

You’ll be fine. May have a little trouble when checking the fluids, but otherwise you’re good.

Thank you. I am new to motorcycles, so I don't want to make a fatal rookie mistake.
