That would get you a well earned visit from the not so friendly Child Protective Services.

If he lives through his childhood the memories he'll have! Awesome!
We played in the street and climbed 40 ft. Mango trees when I was a kid.

Awesome We didn't have mango trees, but we did have pines and we built tree forts in them. Some forts we even had the reckless process of connecting two by a plank.

Didn't have mango trees either. But did climb some oak and cottonwoods nearly that high. Plus rode the old heavy bicycles without head gear in shorts. AND jump ditches.

We rode big woolly sheep (but not for long, they didn't like it), and got chased by mean geese.
Made a fort inside the hay barn (with the mice).
And used to go all summer without shoes.

My daughter grew up in a sidecar, mostly with her dog. Even took her to school in it. bill.

we had to play roof to roof and stickball in the street dodging cars when I was young
Trees? Not in the north Bronx.
Remember the 1st night when we moved to Orangeburg I could not sleep for the crickets and such
But soon we were building tree forts as well

Dad driving, little brother in front with a bicycle seat welded to a pipe, that’s welded to the floor, me on back in a homemade seat. Probably 1963-ish. Mom wasn’t happy, but we sure were…. Craig

Just so you guys know, the toddler is a young lady. I picked up the photo from a group titled Vintage bikes a lady riders with all pictures being before 1990. Same place I robbed the pic in the Can she ride post.
Glad it has sparked your memories!
