Where can I find some handlebars like the ones I saw on the post about polishing your forks. They where on RTaz valk. Good looking bike . BOB

Be sure ya get Honda, or metric spacing... If made for HD, the holes won't line up where the risers mount.

I have what you are looking for. I bought a Tourer and they were in the deal. I am sticking with the Factory bars with the Cobra risers. They were only on the bike a few weeks. Look like the one on R-Taz bike. If interested, let me know. Maybe a possible trade for ??? buffalobill

I have T-bars on my bike. I may need to sell my set to get a different rise and pullback since I just put on raked triple trees, so let me know if your interested. Mine were powdercoated in a black-chrome finish. You need 100 mm spacing for the bars. VTX bars wont work either, they are something like 130 mm spacing.  Steelers, (with apolaogies gor the highjack) how much rake did you do and how do you like it? Thanks, John

Hi Steelers, How did the install of the new trees go? Mine just arrived but I am still working on polishing the lowers (after seeing yours) and putting the tubes back together. They looks great, I can't wait after seeing yours on. Were there any things you ran into that you can give me a headsup on, did the old bearings knock out of the neck easy? Also let me know what Bars you change to, I have been considering that also......Thanks, Mike
PS: Don't forget to take the jack adaptor before you take that ride, been there, did that!!!!!

Not sure about your state, but my buddy has a Sportster with those type of bars and they wouldn't pass inspection at the Harley Dealer. They said that "welded" bars are not legal in PA and must be clamped. Kinda stupid since the clamps are often welded to the riser posts, but that's pretty much typical for PA. He took it to another place (small independent bike shop) and they passed it. Anyone else ever heard of this??

I am very interested in any noticeable changes in handling with the raked trees. The polished down tubes are excellent. Please keep us posted.

The install went pretty good. The old bearings came right out. The main thing was that the bearing races were in great shape so I didnt have to mess with them. The only thing to keep in mind that also made it easier after Daryl told me was in reference to the top bolt that locks the steering stem in place. Once you remove the chrome 30mm nut on top, there is a retainer ring that gets removed. After that there is a nut that needs to be removed with a special Honda tool or spanner wrench. I was more concerned with how I would torque it back on correctly after I got it off. No need to worry about it messing it up or retorqing it. Just put a chisel or screwdriver on it and tap it till its loose. Daryl includes the whole new steering nut and stem setup and it uses a standard socket. Just hold the stem cause once thats loose it drops right out. Feel free to ask any other questions. Id be more than happy to help with whatever I can.
P.S. Thanks, I left the jack adapter on cause I have a few other things I need to do. I wont be able to even test ride my bike for a while. 1-2 inches of snow coming tonight after Saturdays 8 inches and then another possible big snow storm this Friday or Saturday. I want to go south.
