Hi guys,

I'm considering a Valkyrie locally. There are a few things about it I don't really like. It has a 21" tall Memphis Shades windshield. I'm looking for something shorter and maybe a little wider. MShades doesn't seem to manufacture much old Valk stuff anymore. Is there another vendor that has a selection of quality windshields?

Thanks,

Jim Moore

Rifle is the way to go. I have a wider one without turn signal cutouts for winter riding. they offer different heights and widths. more aerodynamic than all others out there.

If I had OEM hardware, I'd go Clearview.

If I didn't I'd go with a National Cycle switchblade...

Can you use the frame?

Have you tried Gustafsson Plastics, just down the street in St. Augustine?

At 5'11" normal build, a 17" size works perfectly. It allows me to see over at complete tilt inline with the fork angle. Rifle has a good selection and are very high QC. Memphis Shades is ok but....

My Slipstreamer SS 30 Classic was $212 (fix mount) complete at the time. The issue with my 17" SS Classic is, it didn't clear the tach/speedo position thus I had add custom 1 1/4" spacers to the shield mounts to clear the instruments. Fortunate to have access to a milling machine at work.

MShades has The Shooter and Hellcat that attach to the handle bars. I use a Hellcat for warmer weather riding.

Had a Slipstreamer 17" Viper bar mount before the fork mount Classic. The wind pressures from acceleration aka "happy wrist" would make it move thus the fix mount.

I'm happy with my Maier. Their prices are good too.
