When I bought my Valkyrie, it came with the 'Wing air suspension. The PO used to be on this site, user name Deez. If he found instructions here on how to install it, I can no longer find the instructions.
Anybody know how it was done?

Thanks for that, something to spend some time with. I find to make the bike level, without too much rake and trail, that I need about 42psi in the system. I don't think deez took curves much, as he also had a darkside tire on it, which didn't corner well, anyway. The pump quit raising the pressure over about 24psi last week, so I was wondering what I could find out. Got some feelers out on a Goldwing owner's forum, too.

pump bad? on ebay all day long. shock leaking? OEM rebuild parts are still avail last I ck, and progressive 416 air shock rebuild kits can be used from what I have read.

Got a spare pump in eBay, leaks when pressurized. I found a discussion on a 'Wing forum asking about a minor leak when his shock was laid on its side, apparently not uncommon for a small amount of oil to come out under that condition; got a spare on eBay also, and there was a small amount of oil inside the tightly wound plastic wrapping it. I have yet to find any useful parts that aren't marked 'NLA' for either. Still looking, but I did find some of the large O-rings for the desiccant chamber of the pump by searching for the part number (fingers crossed).

The eBay pump works fine now, with the new O-ring. I put a new one in the original pump, too, but haven't tested it. I think I got the last OEM type O-rings in the US, if not the world. But, for future desiccant replacements, I found two sites that I could request quotes from; we'll see if they come through. Any, I can adjust the rear fender height, and therefore rake and trail, as needed when not at home again.

Parts Fish shows 2 O-rings, one available the other not. They list the size for both but don't know if they are standard size. That's one way top keep the customer coming back for parts! EDIT Both seem to be available on line (quick search). https://www.partsfish.com/oemparts/a/hon/506c1dfdf870023420a2f239/air-pump #17 O-RING (49.5X2) #16 O-RING (5.8X1.9)

The 49.5x2 is the one I needed. I found one with the original part number on eBay, and one with the superseding part number there too. Note: only ONE of each, and internet searches found only discontinued. I'm still waiting for quotes from the sites that don't provide Honda parts, just generic Viton versions of the correct size.

looking for Buna-N aka Nitrile material o-ring/s should bring better results esp., for that application. viton is more $$ and not needed for an air line.

Got a line on some Perfluoroelastomer or (FFKM), because it needs to tolerate the heat soak from sitting above the head. I really don't care about $; they are all cheap, considering you only need one, maybe every few years.

I would think there would be somewhere in St Louise that could help you out. O-rings are what I call nickel and dime parts.

One might think so, but 49.5mm isn't on the standard size list for most sources.

Yea, that's one of the things I never understood about engineering/design. Why have some thing as simple as an o-ring special made a special size? Bump the part size up or down a smidge to fit a standard size.

Bump the part size up or down a smidge to fit a standard size. the money is in buying replacement parts, and the japanese companies do that slight 0.5 mm on a lot of bolts. the valkyrie has a few bolts/screws that are 0.5 mm longer using a common bolt/screws that are not 0.5 longer at 3 times less cost is not harming anything.

I was told, if you're on the selling end, make everything special so they have to come back for parts. If you're on the buying end, design criteria needs to be off the shelf parts.
