I was watching what is sort of a strange movie tonight: The Accountant, staring Ben Affleck
An unusual movie, but I found it sort of interesting. At the end of the movie, the following song came on.
It's "To Leave Something Behind" by Sean Rowe. I listened to the lyrics and, while the movie was not about me or any of my friends, the song meant something to me.
I think we all, no matter how we look at things, wish to leave something behind. Me, if I had my choice, would be well educated and experienced children and grandchildren. Not necessarily college educated but taught to learn, and learn to live, and make a change in lives and their futures.
Experienced in life and understanding the good and the bad and yes, the ugly. And willing to help others do the same. It is/was (at least) what "teaching" at one time was all about. While the song does not directly speak to this desires, the title does and the song intends that as its goal.
