My wife had her credit card skimmed or lifted a few times so a couple years ago I got her a nice leather RFID wallet and have had no issues since.

When I needed a new wallet I got one as well…why not a little extra protection never hurt.

To be honest I haven’t carried a wallet around in decades. My wallet stays in the vehicle and if I need to make a purchase using a cc I take it out and return it after I’m done. If I’m out shopping with the Mrs. she already has her pocketbook so she just makes the purchase.

I have considered it in the past, but don't think I acted.   I would be interested the responses.  Probably time to take that step.

I’ve carried one for years. There’s no way to know if it saved my info but I’ve had no problems either. Got my latest one at Wal Mart for $15.

I use one.  Apparently the RFID protection works and adds no bulk to the wallet.

Another option are RFID sleeves.....use your regular wallet but put your credit card(s), drivers license etc into the sleeve.  A little inconvenient when you need to pull the cards out of the sleeve rather than just flipping open a wallet....but, just another option.....

I have used them for a few years now and I like them.
I believe the mobile skimmers/sniffers are still being used, so the risk is still there, and it's a cheap level of protection. I also use an RFID passport cover when I travel.
Anything that helps stop the identity thieves is a good idea in my book.

I've used them for years but couldn't tell you if they work or not. I can say while I have had cards hacked it was at a gas pump or similar self serve vender. Now my cards are all locked until I want to use them and the ones I carry are ones with a small limit in case they grow legs. Is it annoying to have to unlock a card to use it? HE!! yes but since I started that practice I haven't unknowingly contributed to any off shore charities.

Just for the record my wallet of choice comes from Cabela's in Buffalo hide. They seem to last around 10 to 15 years compared to cowhide that seldom makes it past 5 years for me.
