Hi all,
Need bushings for Progressive 412 shocks. Has anyone found any generic/OEM bushings that will work? I did send Progressive an e-mail several days ago but received no response.

I'm a thinking most are same as stock due to unique model fitment.

Progressive is one the worst customer service. Goodluck.

I'm only going by memory here, but I believe there is no aftermarket shock bushings for Progressive. You have to get them from the dealer.

I bought a set of 412's about 6 weeks ago. The bushings came in a bag with maybe 14 metal sleeves & some flat washers. If my memory serves me correctly you select 4 metal sleeves that fit the upper post on your Valk and install them with the four bushings in the progressive shocks. It might have been 2 that fit the upper post and 2 that fit the left side lower bolt. Then you reclaim the right side lower sleeve from your OEM shock and install it in the lower right for the proper fit with the pumpkin bolt. The stock code on the bag was 5011-008, but I expect all your metal sleeves are good, so you really only need the 4 bushings. Just reclaim all your sleeves. I would definitely go to Progressive, but I'm pretty sure any set of new progressive bushings for your shocks will work, as you have the correct metal sleeves.

I had the same question here.  I called Progressive, they said they're out of stock and won't have any for a few weeks.  Anyone have a good (non-Progressive) source for some?  I'm down to the point of calling up a manufacturer and asking about a custom job, but that sounds expensive.

Subtopic:  What material is being used these days?  I've heard "poly", but does that mean polyurethane?

yes

check out some VTX forums. some are using nylon bushings for OEM shocks which will work, very low cost, but don't last as long as poly.   some are using porous bronze bushings.
if u like what they are doing u could size a set for the progressives or maybe on the VTX sites somebody has already done it.
https://www.vtxcafe.com/threads/rear-shock-bushings.47393/

nylon works better for rotational applications which shock bushings are not doing.
however many VTX riders love them

If there aren't off-the-shelf ones to buy...

There's tubing places (I've used one a couple of times) that can
supply tubes with practically any imaginable ID and OD combination
and in numerous kinds of metal. Perhaps there's enough left of the
worn out bushings to take some measurements?
