One more turn should do it!

I ordered and received a new air filter along with a new breather cap for the rear end. I received, didn't order, but was charged for 2 o'rings. I looked them up on the parts fiche. They go inside the bottom and the top of the air filter housing. I did not remove any when I pulled out the old filter. Does anybody use these o'rings? Do you replace them when you replace the air filter? I do not remember ever seeing these.

If the bike has had a K&N filter, at least one of the o-rings is discarded. Yes, you should use both of the o-rings. Helps to keep dirt out of the airbox.

I am definitely using them. It's gonna be a PIA trying to get them to stay, especially in the top section.

Put a little grease in the channel and it will stay in place.
