Hello friends,

I have FIIIIINALLY found a company willing to create a custom set of rims for my Valkyrie.
Unfortunately, they require a full front and rear wheel to create the custom set for me.

Which brings me here.... wondering if there's anyone who has a spare full wheel (with rotors) or is willing to take off their own to send to them?
I would be willing to pay you for your help. I unfortunately don't have the room or tools to remove my wheels, and it would be very costly to pay a mechanic in my area to do this and house my bike for 2 weeks.

Even just the front would be great.

You might have better luck finding a nice Valkyrie owner to remove and ship their wheels for this project during the off season.  It would still be a pretty big ask.

Just sayin'.

Pinwall (or some other motorcycle salvage company).  Not cheap but you're already choosing to spend a fortune for something that's only purpose is appearance.

P.S.  I have a spare wheel but I'm not that nice Valk owner and I'm half a continent away.

A couple suggestions. Cost more upfront but...

You could buy a set on ebay or wherever and sell them afterwards. Probably could sell them on this site. Ebay has several wheels for sell (front & rear). I noticed they don't have rotors. Front and rear rotors are also available separately. Imagine that!

Maybe make a deal to buy a members wheels and sell them back after all the measurements and building of the custom wheels.

Something to think about if you buy a set of used wheels to use for the dimensions and modeling for the new wheels are:
Early 97 front wheel used smaller bearings, I think I would look for a late 99 and up front wheel for the larger bearing pockets.
Early 97 thru early 99 rear wheels (I think) had a different mounting for the brake disk, I think I would also use something from a late 99 and up wheel. You want to make sure you have the correct disk and wheel combination for correct spacing/width of the center hub.

Just a few things to think about. Good luck, did you pick out a wheel design?

The obvious answer to me is. Just buy a lift and some simple tools. Learn how to RR your own wheels. Send yours in  BOOM

So, if I have a spare set of front & rear wheels, you are willing to pay for packing & shipping both wheels both ways to the wheel manufacturer and back to me? Where is the wheel manufacturer located? I am in the Tampa, Florida area.

Wow I did not know!

Mine is a 1997. Thank you all, the rim manufacturer is covering the costs of the mechanic to ship my wheels
..along with the shaft assembly and all to ensure its a perfect fit.
