Anybody know about the crossing at Buffalo NY into Canada thinking about going that way instead of crossing at the falls and then onto Michigan?

Hi Robin....what do you want to know. You can cross over at the Peace Bridge and then shoot west to Mich. The Peace Bridge is not to bad of a crossing, mostly moves right along unless it's a special weekend (Bills game, Canadian holiday, Tax break weekend, crap like that) but during the week days and daytime not to bad. Do not carry any drugs or guns, bad news at the border crossing. Otherwise it should be smooth sailing, if you like to contact me for any other info please do, oh ya check online line you may need a enhanced drivers license or a passport.

Hey Robin Long time since Co. All is well? I90 thru NY is a great and fast ride. It is well signed thru Buffalo to the crossing into Canada.Once across, you are on the QEW which will take you to Hamilton and the 403 .Going west on the 403 will get you to the 401 and to my home town of London. We have a bunch of VRCCers joining up there. You are more than welcome to join us.From London ,a short ride on the 403 and into Michigan in Pt Huron.Nice roads the whole ride, busy sometimes but not too bad.
Keep in touch Adrian(Chrome)V

I've crossed at many points from North Portal, North Dakota to Derby Line, New Hampshire; both pre-9/11 and post 9/11. We cross at Buffalo/Niagara Falls at least 2 to 3 times a year.

I have never had a problem at the Rainbow Bridge (right into Niagara Falls) except on holiday weekends.

The Peace Bridge is another story, two years ago a few in our riding group almost got run over by a truck in the next lane. Traffic was terrible! We were literally smacking the tralier as hard as we could to try to get his attention (horns and yelling were no help).

This year at the Peace Bridge, traffic again stunk, but more importantly you would have thought Bin Laden was riding with me. Worst treatment I have ever experienced, both going out and coming in.

I would try to cross at the Rainbow, as long as it isn't a Friday afternoon, you should be ok.
