I was in the driveway which slants gently toward the street when I noticed something shiny where the two come together.  I thought it odd as what collects there is normally dirt, leaves, and gravel. I went to investigate.  It was a stainless 10mm socket.  I had two days prior been working in the driveway when I poured out the contents of a motorcycle tool bag.  I thought I had put everything back into that bag and it had, as before, barely fit.

Two questions.  Why is it always a 10mm in some form?  Why are there plenty of 10mm when we don't really need one?

I do have plenty of 10mm sockets but I have trouble finding them when the need arises.

Some may argue that this phenomenon is due to the simple fact that 10mm is the most common sized bolt and, thus, the socket most often used and subsequently lost. I disagree.  Clearly, this is yet more undeniable evidence that this world is a simulation and the coders are jacking with us.

You know how you'll hang a key or something of importance in a certain place to grab when needed in an emergency? I used to do that with one 10mm socket...until it also disappeared. Probably lost & wrapped in one of my socks that also disappeared. I agree with Connie...it's coming from a parallel universe and they know how to mess with us.

paralalle universe gremlins takers or genies or some such. Even when motocrossing in Japan the 10MM sockets and 10MM box end wrenches were the first on the M I A list ALWAYS!  crazy2 I just MIGHT be able to go into Phatt Ghurls lair and locate a 10MM socket BUT I would NOT make a wager on that!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

It's all part of the plan of the Underpants Gnomes, who have diversified into 10mm sockets...

It is likely a problem solver but it's out of my willing-to-pay range.  That's $3.00 per item.   Shocked

I must be missing something? 100 items for (basically) $100 comes out to, roughly, $1 per item?

Your math is better than mine.  I don't know why I looked at "100" and saw "33".
