just ordered 3 of them since the shipping for 1 or 3 still 4.99.    8 bucks per knife is not bad if is sharp and works.

I've been buying their inexpensive knives for years, and highly recommend them.  cooldude

They are my yard and work all purpose knives, which I use almost daily.  I wear one out every year of two with hard use.  I get one I like, I order a couple more for the future.  Takes a good edge, and if I break it it's OK. I got another..

Currently, this:  Velocite, spring assisted opening.

I don't dig up dandelions or pry things with my Ernest Emerson's CQC's

I purchased three of them also. I gave one to my BF along with clay pigeon holders to do some "rattle battle" pistol practice. Early BDay present.

I'm picky about knives.  OK not as picky as some; I won't pay hundreds for a knife. But I do insist on quality steel.  I have never seen good steel used in Chinese knives (Or anything else they make) and I accidentally have several (buy an apparent good knife, even from a brand name which used to be famous for quality, then see the fine print of "PRC" or "China" so they have caved to the temptation to boost their margin at the expense of their reputation.   For me - cutlery only made in America or Europe - preferably Germany.  OTOH, the price is right for those who want to buy these cheap-o's and dispose when they fail.  I have several that haven't found the trash can yet.  JS...

None of my S & W knives are marked Made in China (or anywhere else).

I searched and found this; given prices I guess I'm not surprised.

Current S&W knives are made by Taylor Cutlery in China and Taiwan.

I don't mind supporting Taiwan, but....

The consensus on line is that some S & W knives are very good and some are junk.  Mine have all been very good for daily work and hard use I wouldn't do with a quality knife.

Actually there are quite a few Chinese company's  today using very good steel "CPM'S" for one you just have to know who they are and as far as Smith and Wesson is concerned they are JUNK gas station knives.
Look up knife steel's and then make your decision on what to buy .

I hope they are better made than my S&W 686 Performance Center Pro Plus.

It will start rusting by just looking it wrong...

Too sad it is probably the best trigger on all my guns and I can't get rid of it.
