I ran across an 87 year old gentleman today from southern Wisconsin with a nice Goldwing trike pulling a fairly large camper for a bike.  He decided he'd like to ride to Alaska.  Said he got half way there and decided it was too much so he turned around and was headed home.  Nice gentle man, just hope at 87 I'm still as adventurous.

I almost bought a used GS from a man of that age who every year rode to Fairbanks to see kids and his grandkids   It was pretty rough looking but mechanically sound   Got the used RT instead

He did it is 7-9 days !  He was a hero to folks who own the local motorcycle shop

He wrote a book about it when I remember its title I will post it

Quite a few years ago at the Baldwin blessing of the bikes they always had contest. Most people on a motorcycle,  who came the farthest and oldest rider. The last year I was stupid enough to go in the gate they announced the winner of the oldest rider. The ol boy was 91. I watched him ride through the gate.
