Was offered a free download of W11 when I first logged on today and said go ahead. They give you the option of going back to W10 in under ten days if you don't like W11 so figured I'd give it a try. Anyone have input pro or con on W11?

I upgraded several months ago to Win 11 home from Win10 Home. Have not regretted it yet. Have yet to see why anything that can run Win10 64 bit couldn't run Win11 .

I didn't last long, waaay too much crap thrown up on the desktop and no instructions on how to delete it. None of it has anything to do with the use of the computer, it's just crap of no use or interest so I went back to W10.

Bought a new computer yesterday and upgraded everything. My system was old, I had windows 7 on that thing. The new has 11 and liking it so far and learning on the fly with it. I am happy with it and it is different than 10.

I use Windows 11 but tweak it a bit first.  W11 is more "invasive" than previous versions when it comes to potential personal data mining.

There are several "hacks" that can disable some of the worst Micro$oft snooping.  I would recommend downloading the free software called O&O Shutup! ( https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 ) designed to disable some of the most blatantly invasive features of Windows.  It's easy to use and understand, and you can roll back any changes you've made so no worry about ruining your system or anything.

And John, here's the program you're looking for.  Another free program from O&O, allows you to get rid of Windows 11 "bloat ware".  https://www.oo-software.com/en/ooappbuster

Rumor has it Windows is planning to move the entire OS to the cloud in the near future.  Awful idea.  Talk about an invasion of privacy!

My wife accidently upgraded her surface pro and couldn't figure anything out luckily I still had two days left to revert to w10.
