Looks like a basically same priced Harley beats the Rune in the Quarter Mile.

Interesting.

I bet it beats the Rune in resale as well.

Just a thought. angel angel Evil cooldude

I would ride the tires off of EITHER ONE ! But personally I wouldnt trade my ugly, beaten, worn out Valk for EITHER ONE !  I have other bikes...I ride them with NO apologies to any one. the Sweet Dragon wont go where the XT600 goes ( well, she shouldn't  Wink ) and she doesnt have the "potato..potato..potato" sound of the fat boy. Not near as scary and bone jolting ride as the hard tail, suicide shifted 4sp shovel head...But MY TRUE LOVE I A VALKYRIE ! !  The rest are bikes..but she is my soul!

Did the harley specs come from the same source? Just wondering.
Also, I'd bet my toenails that the harley would need major drivetrain
work way before the Rune. harleys have come a long way, but they've
still not caught up on reliability. YMMV  Smiley

The problem is a lot of Harley's are trailered everywhere and most are posers not real riders like you and I.

You can Big Bore a Harley for 1200$ and a whole new motor of your size choice can be had for 4000 bucks from Harley. By the way that is the installed price.

I just always thought of Harley's as slow, well there apparently not all slow.

Oh, no, it's a well known fact that you CAN make a harley purty darn
quick...if you have enough greenbacks. But one thing I've always said,
if they cost that much money, they should ALREADY be that fast. Also,
when you tinker with something enough to get a MAJOR improvement in
power, it USUALLY brings with it a decrease in reliability and/or an
increase in maintenance. Once again....YMMV.  cooldude
