Hi Im new to this board but not new to the Valktrie. Can someone please tell mw why it is so hard to find a Cobra lightbar for my 1999 Tourer? I have spent countless hours looking for one. Or if any one
has one for sale I would love to buy it. Please help a new frustrated member

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. I have already contacted him and questioned the price. He said it was a supply and demand thing. I don't need it that bad. I know I will find something if I keep on

 Thanks again

I'd make one out of plywood and drywall screws before I caved in to that kind of gouging.  Gimme a break.   crazy2

Big bike things makes a set of lowers that you can add lights to them. The Cobra light bar looks the best to me, but not at that price.

I don't blame you for your sentiment but I have done business with Mike in the past, sold him my Carbon fiber Supertank, and he's a good guy, and a businessman. But he's really not gouging anyone especially if someone decides it's worth $750.00 to them. If no buys, then he has to look at them setting there or offer them at a lower price. I could not see me ever paying that much for a set either, but as I have said in other posts, I can't believe some people would pay 3-4 hundred dollars for chrome plated plastic side covers, but some did! At least the lights perform another function other than just  reflecting light.  ( Bladedog, not busting your chops about this, just offering another viewpoint. )

Back to the original post, I have been on my Valk since 99 and was just able to snag a new still in the package Cobra lightbar this past summer right off this forums classified section from a guy in California. It was all just chance and luck as I must have seen his post within 5 minutes of his placing the ad. Got them for $250 plus shipping which was fair given the availability. So just keep looking and hope to be first in line when an opportunity comes along.

F6John: I hear you, and I sure understand the supply- and -demand theory of business, but dang, that would be 15% of the cost of my ENTIRE bike.  I guess I just reacted to "sticker shock" when I've seen them sold here and there for less than half that price.  Luckily I managed to score a Kury lightbar by trading some parts with another club member so I'm ok in the light bar area.  I guess if someone has the loose cash and has their heart set on a Cobra, then more power to 'em!
