I went back to youtube and read the info. He said his chaps
"came apart" and got tangled in his rear tire. I don't know
if he meant they came "unsnapped" or literally came "apart".

Aha! And thus, the title of the post!

(doh!)

I once had a bungee cord get tangled in the rear wheel...it pulled as tight as is possible and then broke, popping me right in the back. I still have the scar! (lesson learned)

Alright, I watched the video.

What pisses me off are the three cars in the far left lane THAT STOPPED ON THE FREE WAY!!

F-ING RUBBER NECKERS!!

THEY’RE GOING TO CAUSE MORE HARM WHEN TRAFFIC LOADS UP, AND SOME SEMI TRUCK COMES OVER THE CREST OF THE HILL BEHIND THEM CARRING 40,OOO POUNDS, WITH ONLY 30 YARDS TO STOP!

Smokin Joe had some luggage fall his bike a mile from his house and locked his back wheel up he said.

He almost went down like the guy in the picture.

I still have some leathers that are a little floppy at high speeds, don't think I'll wear them anymore.

Thanks Bob for the followup info, it now makes very good sense.

My brother and his wife, were on the way home from a summer concert, on his HD Softail...  On the expressway, doing 65 or so...  All of a sudden, the bike feels like it dropped in the rear, his wife is screaming, and he thinks he just got clipped in the rear end...  Rear wheel is locking up, and unlocking...  He manages to get over to the shoulder, and finds out that the 3/4 length SWEATER ( uglystupid2) his wife was wearing, got all knotted up in the drive belt!!!  Shocked  Shocked

They were lucky...  He was pickin' fuzz outta that bike for the next 3 months.

If you wear the leg straps inside the duster, you'll be alright.
