Hi Everyone,
After enjoying my Valakyri for a couple of months, I'm gearing up for an upcoming long bike tour and need a reliable pair of saddlebags for luggage. I've scoured the internet for options and came across a limited selection. Among these choices, I've taken a liking to these saddlebags: "https://www.vikingbags.com/viking-lamellar-leather-covered-shock-cutout-hard-saddlebag-11513-prd1.htm". They are not only affordably priced but also offered by Viking Bags, a brand I trust based on previous positive experiences with their products.

I'm seeking your input on whether it's a wise decision to proceed with purchasing these saddlebags. Alternatively, if any of you have alternative suggestions, I'm all ears. Thank you for your insights!

They don't look bad to me. I saw the mounts and stuff without seeing
everything about how they mount... whenever I'm behind a Valkyrie
with saddlebags that don't have a cross mount (the bags connected
together) the bags seem floppy, especially when they are full...

Sometimes you'll see a set of black OEM bags and mounts on ebay
or whatever,  but usually for at least 6 or 8 hundred dollars... the only
ones I saw there in a quick glance just now were more than that...

I'm glad you were happy with your previous transactions with Viking. I will never do business with that company again. They still owe me a $110 from a bag that I bought from them and returned. They contacted me a couple of years later asking what they could do for me if I would take down my negative reviews of their company. I told them nothing and to live with my bad review.

I hope you find a set of bags you like. I ended up putting a set of Boss bags on my Valk. They were much more expensive then the other bags I was looking at, but I just love them.

Both my 99 and 01 Standards had the leather Valkyrie bags on them when I bought them. Good looking bags.

Hi Everyone,
I want to express my gratitude for your valuable input—it truly helped me in reaching a decision.
After careful consideration, I've made up my mind to purchase the saddlebags that I mentioned earlier. I waited for a good deal, and now they are offering a 25% discount on all their products. The original price of saddlebags is approximately $450, but with the discount, I can get them for just around $340, which I believe is an excellent offer.

I'm excited about this purchase and hopeful that it will meet my expectations.
Thanks once again for your assistance.
