Last trip was on my 1800 Valkyrie, 7000 miles.  This trip was 9050 miles.  Through NY & part of Canada to Port Huron, Mi.  Crossed the Mackanac bridge & followed Rt. 2 to Glacier NP.  Then to Washington, Oregon & California.  Crater Lake was the highlight.  Visited Redwood NP then turned inland to Bodie state park which is a ghost town of an old gold mining operation.  Through Yosemite then on to the 4 corners.  Went up to Highlands Ranch, Co. to visit an old classmate then turned South to Oklahoma & Texas.  From there up to Oak Ridge, Tn. to visit Shorty & Diane.  Then on to the Blueridge parkway and Skyline drive. Stopped in NY to visit my brother & sister and Mohawk trail on home.  In 4 weeks on the road only had one quick shiwer in Mn. But got a good drentching in NY.  The Spyder towing the mini mate camper got 36 MPG which surprised me.  Gas in California close to $6.00.  Even in temps of 120 and elevations of 11,000 ft. the Spyder ran flawlessly.

Wow Tom, that's awesome! I was wondering why I haven't seen you around this summer. Glad you had a fantastic trip and that the Spyder ran flawlessly. Welcome home!  cooldude

I was only gone a month but am off again to NY this weekend most likely in rain.  At least it wont be Nevada heat.  120 degrees.  Boy did I drink a lot of water & gatoraid. My Dr. was not happy about me doing this trip.  She had me stop in at the VA clinic in Worcester the morning I left.

Glad you got to do the trip! Shorty and Dianne were very happy to see you! The scooter is my current transportation, but I'm about to become the proud owner of a 2002 Saturn! Life is good! Safe riding, my friend!
