Apparently Wyoming and Montana thinks it's winter.

Beartooth pass is closed due to snow:

After our first trip there in 2009, I found that there were YouTube videos on the snow clearing.   Just looked and nothing there today.  I don't guess they are not active yet.

Fall may be officially here, but tropical storm Ophelia doesn't feel like fall.

Raining and blowing continuously.  Until tomorrow afternoon.

Sadly, everyone on the other side of the river has apparently survived.

Yup, we’ve been getting hammered by wind and rain since the wee hours over night Friday/Saturday and it’s not due to push out until the early hours of Monday. Had to turn the heat on for a while yesterday to get the chill out but by Saturday night the temps went up and needed a dose of AC to get the humidity out.

I spent over 20 years in southern WY along I-80.  There were several years in September when I-80 was closed because of that dreaded 4 letter word starting with "S".   One year it was the second week of September.  AND it was closed for 2 days.  Lots of trucks in town.
