Colors are quite drab around here Tony...A lot of maples have lost the top 1/4 of their leaves, even  before starting to change colors.
A few maples have a nice bright pink salmon or a ruby red color...
I'm kinda guessing the wet summer is the cause of the diseased leaves....
Overall, I'd call it a disappointing foliage season around here....But that ain't keeping the tour bus loads of leaf peepers from flocking in....

I agree Terry. The colors are muted. Once we start having night time lows in the 40s and drier WX, maybe we'll see some improvement. We do enjoy October foliage rides. We primarily ride in west-central MA and southern NH.  Wink

We enjoy taking a ride 'up north' following Rt 11 into 'tater country Tony...
Enjoy the foliage, load up on new 'taters, and stop into a brewery for a couple IPAs and a bite to eat.
A lot of the maple leaves have dark spots, and are turning black instead of the vibrant pinks and reds.

After this tropical storm blows through tonight and tomorrow with 40 plus mph winds and 2 to 4 inches of rain, what little foliage we have along the coast will be on the ground...

Enjoy your colors while you can Tony, cause we all know within a few months the only color will be dirty white....
