I've been running, riding, and commuting all year.  This weekend was the first time I was able to ride in the sunshine all day without a jacket. It was the first pretty day to ride. really pretty day.
I forgot the sunscreen, and now it shows.  My face is flushed red to match the top of my arms.  I can feel the burn.
Time for more alhoe vera goop.
I'm fair skinned. I don't tan. I just burn. I try to wear long sleeve shirts and sunscreen to take care of myself, but I do occasionally forget.  I need to pay more attention to that this year.

My eyes aren't too bad raccooned. My face isn't as bad as my neck and arms. I do have that white-forehead because of the helmet. That's always attractive.
I don't tan.
I just go from shades of red back to this dull light pink.
I did have on a long sleeve shirt on Sunday. Ofcourse I kept pushing up the sleeves, so that probably wasn't doing any good.

Resistance is futile; if less than 1 ohm.

You have my full sympathies.  Forgetting the sunscreen is definitely a bad thing when you are "pigment challenged" like a lot of my family.  I can tan a bit, if I start working on it in February or March and stay with at least an SPF 30.  My family are Scots and apparently sunshine isn't part of the heritage.   Cool

Scotch Irish can make whiskey, but we dont tan.

I just turn deeper shades of red over the summer.  I like to think of it as a single malt progression, going from a Highland to a Isley over time.

One of the reasons that I dont mind wearing a jacket all year is because if I dont, the heat and pain I will be in later seems to drown out the sweat I put out at stop lights.

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.
