Up early and voted (in person).

Lots of small (local) offices on the ballot this time.

I live in a (very) predominant D district, so as usual I had to write in for The Easter Bunny for a couple unopposed offices.  He never gets elected, but hope springs eternal.

I had called my local Republican HQ with a couple questions earlier in the week, and they told me they were supporting a big write in campaign for Commonwealth's Attorney (DA), since the unopposed incumbent D was a woke person who had also dropped the ball on a few important cases.  I looked the guy up and was quite surprised to discover he was also a D.  He's also a very experienced criminal attorney and hard on crime.  So I voted (wrote in) for a D this time.  I believe the last D I voted for was in the first election I was old enough to vote (over 50 years ago when I didn't know any better).

Get out there and vote.

Wife and I voted early (in person) on Saturday. I had to vote straight Republican because I have vowed I will never vote for another Democrat the rest of my life. The left is using the Israeli conflict to demonize Joe and using the term Genocide Joe all the while standing for abortion on demand that has cost over 60 million lives, just in the grand old USA. There’s plenty of genocide to go around on this globe!

Kentucky, though small, is like many other places, in that the population centers seem to hold sway in elections. Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort, also known as the golden triangle, and home to the largest Universities are liberal strongholds. But, there is always hope!

In my small town (have not voted yet but will in an hour or so) all of the offices are unopposed and I don't remember seeing any D's or R's after their names.  Will check.

Since the are for things like Town Council, and I attend the Town Council meetings, I have not noticed anyone be overly liberal.  But... it is hard to say and you have to read the documents.

And yes, I will do as Jess has done if a "D" is running unopposed.  But I just use Donald Duck.

Bill here in my VA District, party affiliation is only listed on the ballot for state-wide positions.  So the large number of small local elections this time (school board, drain commission, county supervisors, and more) have no party affiliation noted on the ballot.  And I have no idea who any of these people are.  This is why I called my local Republican HQ office for assistance.

I did meet one of the R's running at my polling place; shook his hand and wished him good luck.

Interestingly, they didn't tell me the write-in for Commonwealth's Attorney they are supporting was a D.  I had to look that up myself.  But if he's good enough for them, he's good enough for me (and better than the crap-for-brains woke D other choice).

Only one people'd position on my ballot, and it's for a non-partisan city council seat, so had to read between the lines to figure out who's really who...

A whole mess of proposed amendments to the constitution of The Republic of Texas, including some that would lower taxes, some for all some for specific groups. I will always vote to lower taxes, I don't care by how much or for whom, anything that lowers taxes will get my vote.

Oh, and I voted early luckily, since not sure I'd have been up for it today!

I went in to vote this morning.  It was not very crowded.  I asked her for a ballot that only had the names for which I should vote.  She said they didn't have one.   question

I've been at the poll (in my district) since about 5:40 AM, just got home.

In my district, Governor Tate Reeves had a resounding win but, that's only my district.
One of the somewhat funny/weird things is there is a candidate running for Constable and is running uncontested so, he's gonna win but, he was just arrested for "Stalking".   Will be interesting to see how that works out.

The Stalking Constable  Grin

While doing my typical homework about who's running, I discovered that the ballot only had the mayor and 4 council seats. ALL unopposed. Didn't know of any valid write ins... it took the wind out of my sails. I didn't bother going, unusual for me.

We only had one idem on the ballot.  A measure to help the local county museum.  I did take the ballots down to the courthouse and deposited them in the box outside.  No lines, no waiting.

Though seem a bit of a waste, just one idem on a full-size ballot sheet, plus the outside envelope which the ballot was mailed to us, envelope with no postage due so we could mail the ballot back in, and the shield that one puts the ballot in.  Lots of paper.
