I'm not sure who helped me last night in the chat room (didn't get name), but thank you.

I'd been fighting the removal of my alternator for over an hour and someone in the chat room explained the angles that you have to move it to get it out of there.  It popped right out after following the advice.

If you think getting out is fun wait until you try to get it back in there. They are just about like installing a transmission you'll swear it isn't gonna fit and all at once it'll just pop in. cooldude

Thanks Chris.  I put the new one on right after I took the old out.  2 hours to remove old, 30 minutes to install new.

I guess it worked I took it on a short ride today and it seemed to be working fine.

Glad to hear it went so good.  As long as you disconnected the battery before you started and you never heard a sparking then you probably didnt blow the 55A fusable link.  I flubbed up and made that rookie mistake and took me a couple days to learn about the little lead fuse thing.......
