My damper rod bolt just keeps spinning, cant get it out, or tighten it back it. Bottom part of the rod is spinning with no way to hold it. I tried completely reassembling the fork tube and even with the oil and spring pressure it spins. Any advice?

Seems like you're already doing what they suggest in the manual...

Are you using a impact gun ?  That has worked for me in the past.

Going to pick one up today, batteries crap the bed on the one I had. Getting a corded one this time, had enough with batteries that cost more than tools.

Yes I was following the manual and that was the first thing I tried.

Update! Went and picked up and impact and impact hex ends at harbor freight. At first I was very discouraged because it didnt was to come out vertical upside down. Some suggested it needed to be vertical so I put it vertical and kept good pressure with a little bounce on it and it came out! Actually yelled out loud in excitement since I though I might end up having to drill it out. Thank you everyone for your advice!
