She became an instant $Billionaire in her divorce settlement. But here’s what significant to know about her life since. She gave away $2.5 Billion this year to over 300 different charities this year! Her total philanthropy so far is a total of $16 Billion. If I read and understood the article correctly, her net worth now stands at $40 Billion which is greater than her divorce settlement even with her philanthropy! |

(True story by the way) He was in a restaurant with Aunt Oma when he flagged down his waitress and asked about who made the cornbread he was served. Another lady happened by and the waitress said "That's the cook right there, would you like to talk to her?" Uncle Jon said "sure would" and the cook walked over to the table. Uncle John said "I've got three day old cornbread sitting at home and it taste better than this!" The cook said, "Well, go home and eat it then!" So, the moral of this story is ...You can put your boots in the oven, but that don't make 'em cornbread! |

If money is the #1 driving factor one will probably never be happy. Lack of enough to meet basic needs can certainly bring sadness but more than that certainly does not guarantee happiness.

Really was the point I was trying to make by posting this in the first place. She realizes she has more money than she will ever be able to spend on her own needs and wants. I can imagine that her philanthropy brings her great joy and it appears that she gives without seeking a great deal of fanfare. |
