Thanks! It's midnight here now, so its time to go to bed.
I'll tell you when I will change the fork seals...

Dag, you did a super job, I know what it is like I setup my own IP Network cam. It can be mind boggling but its fun to do and a handy tool.  I didn't know that you could stream webcams. Now we got to figure how to put a cam on a bike and have live streaming when we are cruising.  Is the streaming resident to the computer or is to your router and ISP. If it is to the computer then maybe if you go to a biker gathering in your area you could plug in to an Internet hookup and watch the gathering. Make sense !!   Anyway nice job.

Dan

Dan it appears that Dag ended up with a drastically different architecture than what he initially started out with.  If you do a view source on the page and look at the HTML and javascript you can see how it is being done.

It appears that the webcam is pushing images from the garage to Dags blog on the Valkyrienorway.blogdns.com domain.  When the webpage loads it displays the loading.jpg image which loads some javascript "DoIt1()" which waits for 40 milliseconds then calls "LoadImage1()" which loads the most recent photo that has been pushed to the blog.  "LoadImage1()" then calls "DoIt1()" which starts the process all over again.

Very clever......

It was a tough day at work today. Fired two employees so I left early  Smiley

I struggled a while to get the streamin public.
After a few hours googeling I found DynDNS.com that was my rescue.
And your help findeng the manual for setting up my router was great help.

Thanks  cooldude

Reminds me of the Deer Cam. You can waste a lot of time just waiting to see if a "Dag" will walk by.  Grin Cheesy

I think I`ll have to buy a better camera, so I can double the size to 640x480
This is a $50 camera I bought a few years ago, so I`m sure I can find somthing better.

Working good today Dag!!  I see you in the garage straightening things up a bit.  Hope today was better than the other day with your employees.  I know how that feels.

P.S.  You just turned out most of the lights and left.  Sad

I had a much better day today, and for my other employees as well  Smiley
I bougt a new web camera yesterday, and the quality is much better.
Will try to change to flash streaming so I can stream audio as well.

dag, your 6 hours ahead of st louis i think.
maybe a clock w/ 24 hour time in the pic someplace so we know we're not looking a
static image, and what time it is there?

great looking image though.

It is 6:19 here in Denver and all I get is the picture of your Valk setting in the room.  You aren't working on it 24 hours a day?  Looking good.

I have to find somthing that moves around in the garage so its not so static.
I could let the cat in and turn on the radio (when I get audio link to work)
Or I can run a slideshow on the wall with the video projector  Smiley

I think what some had in mind was a big clock that had moving hands on the face.

It's kind of like what the cable company does for the Christmas season.  On one of the otherwise unused channels they show a fire burning in a fireplace.  Viewers get excited when the see someone rearrange the logs with a poker!  Maybe Dag should have an attractive young lady polish a small portion of the bike once an hour, or so.  Wink
