Well, a new chapter has begun. After my motorcycle accident Kathy made the suggestion that she would prefer that I not buy another bike. She didn't say I couldn't, but she made her thoughts known. Considering what she was going through I felt it was the least I could do to cause her less worry in her life.
For the last 4 months I have been thinking about taking the leap of faith and buying a motorcycle. Of course I had conversations with Kathy about it. I told myself she knew how much I loved riding and that she would be OK with me getting back to living.
So I did. This is my 2019 Road Glide Ultra. I went to Florida for a week to ride and see an old friend I hadn't seen in close to 40 years. As I was riding around I came across this town. It wasn't spiritual or sky parting moment, but it did make me smile. I can almost feel her riding behind me.

Congratulations Paul! I'm happy for you and agree that Kathy would want you to be riding again. I'm looking forward to riding with you this coming season! Been a while since I've seen you on an RG.  Wink

So you've already ridden it to FL? Wow! That's quite a head start on the riding season. Good for you!  cooldude

It was snowing and 15 degrees when I left last Sunday. My cousin and I trailered the bikes to Lakeland Fl and rode from there. 1100 miles in 5 days. I enjoy this bike incredibly. Lots of upgrades since the 2005.
114 cu in engine. 6 spd. Cruise, great handling, smooth ride, and more vents to open and close depending on weather.
So far, I love it.

Bigger displacement than the Gold Wing (112 cu).  Wink I'm sure she moves along. I'll ride behind you and try to keep up! Glad you love the bike.  cooldude
