If you are talking about the wind deflectors that are mounted to the bottom of the MS fairing, don't cut yours yet. I cut mine out for the turn signals, but I will be putting a light bar on mine so they will probably not work for me any more. Maybe we could work out a trade somehow, or I will sell you mine cheap if they no longer fit. I will know in an month or so.
ALSO< I noticed you are mounting your bags soon, take notes and let me know if there are any short cuts or problems with the directions from the factory, I will be mounting mine soon also.

Oops, too late. Although I will probably order another set to make up for my lack of dremeling. At least they are not too expensive. But thanks for the offer.
This is the method I used to measure and mount my T Strong bags.
The brackets look like billet aluminum, two for each side.
I mounted them on one side (left) to set the angle the way I wanted.
Used blocks of wood on the exhaust to raise the saddlebag to the height I wanted.
I then used a piece of stiff cardboard (from the MS packaging) to cut a template for the mounting brackets and cut the mounting bolt holes in the cardboard. The template looks like a rectangular parallelogram with holes in each corner. I also used this template to set the angle for the other side of the bike. Line up the holes and the angle is the same for both sides.
I then used rubber cement to attach the template onto the brackets, lining up the holes.
I hung some masking tape from the back of the template.
When I lined up the saddlebag where I wanted it, I reached around behind and pressed the masking tape onto the saddlebag and pulled the bag and the template off together.
Now with the template taped to the bag, I used a slightly larger drill bit than the bolt to cut the holes. This will give a bit of wiggle room for aligning the bolts. Rinse and repeat for the other side. Only had issue with one hole, everything else lined up just fine and the bags ended up where I had measured. They are sitting a bit too far forward and the lids rub the saddle but I will fix that next weekend.
Hope this is as clear as mud, I have used this method to mount two sets of bags now and this seems simpler than other instructions I have found.
