So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

The grass is turning green and the weeds are ahead of the grass getting taller.
It is, what it is.  Officially Spring may not have sprung but I can tell allergy season is coming.
Won't be long before those dang Pine trees are releasing pollen.   Cry

Craig,
Honestly, I'll take the pollen over the white stuff any day but, enjoy what you have.

Ron here in SoMo my grass is Still winter brown and dormant. BUT sooner than I'd like it will be turnin green and needing cut. My Young Neighbor has that particular job and he does a Very Decent job cutting weed whacking and limb pickup. Had my way I'd leave it go BUT the City has ordinances or laws about length of grass And I'd rather NOT receive that notice posted to where I live thank you very much. Sides last time I checked grass growin happens every year after winter here bouts. RIDE SAFE..

Dennis,
I'd ask you to send your neighbor on down but I suspect his parents might not appreciate him hitchhiking.   The grass here is not all that tall and a lot of it is still brown but, those dang weeds get an early start and will be producing and go to seed before ya know it.   It's best to cut those stems off to keep the weed population down.   Regardless, temps to be in the high 60s to mid-70s this week.   Gotta stay ahead of them dang weeds.   Ride safe and looking forward to visiting with you and InZane.

Yikes. Would rather cut the lawn than shovel snow but I’m not ready for the mower yet.

Same. After ~15 years and a fuel cap gasket disintegrating into the gas tank I finally changed the fuel filter (And pulled out as much of the broken gasket out of the tank as I could) on my little John Deere.

This past weekend the weeds had gotten tall enough it was time. Had to run it on full choke first 10 minutes or so but after that it ran like a Deere...

Parts of the yard are still dormant, but large swaths are thick weeds already 6-12 inches tall... Or were before I mowed 'em...

I have the kiddos do the detail work, the part that can be done from the riding mower takes just the right amount of time to enjoy a Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne cigar so I find it relaxing to be honest.

After several days of rain, some heavy rain, we have a coating of white this morning.  Thankfully the driveway/sidewalks don't need shoveling.  Grass was starting to show some green trying.  But still nearly two months before I need to break out the mower.  May have one or three more storms that drop white stuff.

here in southern WI the temps are near 60 degrees this week.  UNREAL, bring on the spring shorts to wear soon.  I have only worn my winter coat like 10 days this whole winter and only shoveled snow about 4-5 times is all at most with only 2 somewhat bigger snowfalls all winter long.  Like that!

Craig, same here still plenty of snow on the ground. It's going to be at least a couple of months before I'll need to get the mower out. Winter hasn't been that bad so far (knock on wood), but still looking forward to spring. Can't wait to get the bikes out of winter storage. Cool

As one might expect, the grass and weeds are doing their thing, growing.
I can see it's time to get out the Round Up and spray along the fence line around the dog run.
The one thing I won't do (due to allergies) is operate the battery powered weed eater.

We all have to make choices in life, I'll take a lawn mower any day over a snow shovel or snow blower.
All decisions have consequences or rewards, I'll accept the mowing and consider it a blessing.  Wink

I have found Spectracide outperforms Roundup in weed killing (and longer lasting).

Well, I'll try to remember that when I run out of Round Up.  Thanks.
