I put the copmutfire alt in the old gold wing years back
Anyone with opinions on what’s good ?

My opinion only.  I prefer the stock GW alternator clocked for the Valkyrie.
'97 Goldwing Aspencade Part # is 31100-MT2-015.  Currently cheaper than the Valkyrie Alternator and simple to pull the 3 long screws, clock the housing to match the Valk, and replacing the 3 screws.

'88-'95 Goldwing alternators are best to find they were made in Japan all others are made in china when Hitachi switched production there.  u can find low mileage part outs on ebay sometimes, which I found a few yrs ago.

     Got one from L A Lectrical some years back and when Phatt Ghurl left her cave for the last time here that alt was still on her. RIDE SAFE.
