Wishing everyone all the best this Easter Sunday.
If you’re celebrating today enjoy the time with family or friends and loved ones.
If you’re out riding today watch out for chocolate bunnies and jelly beans and stay safe.

He has risen indeed!
I have come to accept that there are two celebrations taking place at once. This is not unusual for our holidays (holy days).
I celebrate Resurrection Sunday. That is a very special holy day, the culmination of Holy Week.
There are controversial and disagreeing speculations on from where has come the term, Easter. Some trace back to one pagan goddess or another but all point to a name derived in some way to a term that referred to the east, the direction of the sunrise. Springtime is like the seasonal sunrise. The celebration took place on the Spring equinox, the expectation of the changing season, the beginning of new growth. The Easter bunny and Easter eggs are elements of this seasonal celebration.
Happy Resurrection Day for those who believe.
Happy Easter for everyone.

Absolutely. Without the resurrection faith and religion are vain, a waste of time. No family to hang with this time so I went for a nice Sunday drive. Yesterday was for the Cobra bike and today for the Cobra car. Beautiful weekend.

Rode the new to me trike to Church Easter Sunday. And The Church served a pancake and sausage breakfast that was pretty good. Wonderful Service and Really attended well with a LOT of visitors. Would have ridden further than back home BUT Phatter Ghurl has a starting issue gotta sort out! All in all a VERY GOOD Easter Sunday! For the 2nd time after a short-TOO SHORT-ride I just stayed sittin on her after rollin here into her cave. Long enough sittin that no longer heard metal cooling off! Like I said GOOD DAY All Around! RIDE SAFE.

Every time I see this car I am reminded of my old '62 Austin Healey Sprite (I know different car, but similar, and color too) The convertible top was on a crude two-post frame plug in and folded down, but there was no boot or cover or any keepers for it. And I quickly discovered that at any speed with wind, it would bounce up and depart the car entirely. So if I wanted to go topless, I had to leave it at home. Driving home in the rain became a usual event. Then, the trans, center bearing and clutch all died at once, and the repair was 3-4 times what the car cost me. So I mailed the signed title to the repair shop (who said they didn't want it, but they got it anyway). Dad was like... what did I tell about those crazy foreign cars? So my next one was a 67' Dodge van (that Sears had owned for the first 65K miles).

I hear you Jess. British equipment (at least the vintage stuff) wasn’t known for reliability. The great thing about this car is that there’s not one British part in it. Donor was a ‘71 mustangII so, Autozone not overseas.

My 1st bike, a British 1970 BSA 650 Lightening (Birmingham Small Arms) was pretty reliable, though it required a new clutch during my ownership. It might have been me, but I don't think so. It was a bit large for a learner. There was no MC endorsement then. It was delivered to my house. I rode up and down our half mile private street for a couple days, then down the road I went. I rode to high school to show it off, slipped in the long bus oil slick beside the school and laid it down and slid in front of everyone. Took me some time to live that one down.

The wife and I had a Easter Celebration for our family and friends at our house. 25 people invited. We started 2 days earlier mowing grass, weedeating, cleaning ice chests, cleaning cooking equipment, sweeping out and vacuming out both the garage and the shop, cleaning inside the house, dusting everything including all ceiling fans, sweeping and mopping and vacuming the house...... etc..etc.
Day of Sunday....Easter Day..... up at 5 am the wife started cooking...and cooking....and cooking. While she is cooking Im washing dishes and stirring and mixing containers of food for preperation. 1:00 in tge afternoon I crank up a electric smoker with 24 chicken quarters, 2 large round "Old Smokey" charcoal pits. I was busier than a one legged marathon runner. Cooked a total of 50 leg quarters. Visitation at 5:00 and a cornhole game tournament....dinner at 6:00. Everyone had a great time
At age 73 the wife and I were wore out. I was sooooo happy when the last guest pulled out of the driveway at 9 pm. . getting too old to do this.

Jeff, that picture is just a random one off the web, but that is exactly my blue/chrome bike. I remember it only had 1050 miles when I bought it.
The slip and slide that day did little to no visible damage though I seem to remember bending a foot peg.
My trouble was that none of my 17yo friends had street bikes (to ride with), and only a couple had dirt bikes, so I took the Beezer trail riding with them and banged it up a little before quitting that foolishness.
The odd thing about them was the foot brake and shifter were on the opposite sides from most all other bikes (then and now). So when I got my next bike, I occasionally banged down the shifter in clutchless downshifts when trying to brake (slow) the bike, for about 6 months.

My new younger neighbors did a big Easter party for their friends/family, and brought me a large care package of tremendous (real actual off the bone) ham, and wonderful homemade potato and green bean salads (last night) that is the best food I've eaten in a very long time. (I almost never do restaurants, and then only for fast food on the go) I'm a decent bachelor short order cook, but I don't do any fancy cooking or food. I long ago decided food should never become a HOBBY. I'm sending her an email praising her cooking and generosity. I told them I wouldn't be sending over any food, but if they needed an extra hand with anything (not too heavy) to just ask.

My grandmother always did a big family get together like that... After we lost her my mom and her twin sister would carry on the tradition... Now that they're getting too old (80's) to do all that work, we're having to compromise to at least get the family together at all... It's definitely not the same, but we got my parents, my aunt, my sister and her family, all my family, one of Kali's battle buddies who doesn't have any family in Texas together on Easter afternoon at Cracker Barrel... Oh, and KK and I got in a nice ~150 mile ride on Easter Saturday... The wind was wonderful!

Jess good lookin Beezaer! When I was motocroosing in Japan there was quite a mix of M/C makes including Brit and Chech. We all shared our rides on our test track and keeping up on the different shifter brake sides wuz a bit easier as I wuz a LOT YOUNGER then! Ross-daprez-did a LOT on the 88 G/W trike but still have a few issues to sort out! And yet another thread drift! Who'd a thunk it! RIDE SAFE.
