So, over the winter project...front tire, desmog, rear floor boards, air filter, spark plugs, new rear shocks, new fork springs, restore windshield. All in all went pretty smooth. Runs and rides the best it has in years. Awesome machine!

Chuck,

Congrats on your successful project! BTW, that shifter guard I now have that came from you is working out far better than I expected... and I did have high hopes already! Great item, and I'm a very happy user! I hope our paths cross again in the near future...

I was fooled also. It’s not Chuck. Another 6banger. I think Chuck goes by F6BANGER.

Thanks, Rob,

My bad! I'm often guilty of not looking carefully enough or paying attention to details as closely as I should. My bud, Chuck Lane/F6banger in Albuquerque, was my main-man when I stayed there for half a year, once upon a time (our girl had less than 300K miles on her back then). I suppose my glee at thinking that it was him struck my fancy and led me to 'assume'... Oh well, it does prove that my friend is still on my mind!

I was guilty too. I read this thread and it’s updates thinking oh, F6banger is posting again. I only met him once, on a ride to Prescott. Good dude. (As I’m sure 6Banger is also)

Sounds like I'm in good company! I'm in NC, did a couple Inzanes years ago. Then 3 back surgeries side lined my riding for a while. But she's ready to roll now! With a fair amount of help from the tech board here. Carb rebuild...intimidated at first...but went great. And of course the air box reinstall!
